I am pretty low on malt now that I'm actually starting to brew again and I thought I'd throw it out there for others. Are we ready to order again? We probably don't have the lead time to get it done by our next meeting, but we can do one for the May meeting (May 18th).

I'm interested in a bag of Canadian two row. Probably a half bag of victory.

I'll take a 1/2 sack Maris Otter if someone wants to split or a whole sack if no one is interested.

Do we have the option to buy Starsan again? If so, I'd like a gallon.
Also, 1/2 bag of Caramunich if someone wants to split it.

Also, 1/2 bag of Caramunich if someone wants to split it. Yeah, we can always buy chemicals....just need enough people to split the 4 gals up.

I will do a gallon of StarSan.
Would anybody interested in quarter sacks of Carastan 30-40L? I like to use it when Crystal 40 is called for.

The two basemalts I would get are the Canada Malting 2-Row and Pale Ale Malt. Those two will take care of your American and English Ales. The price is also right. If memory serves, the 50kg sacks are 26+/- plus the couple bucks for shipping. The English Marris Otter malts are awesome, but I don't get enough of a difference in the Pale Ale malt to justify the huge price difference of the MO vs. the Pale Ale. I do normally get the continential pilsner malts though. I do think there is enough of a difference in a good German Pils malt over the domestic pils. Wheat is also a nice malt to have on hand. It is good for the wheat beers obviously, but it doesn't hurt to add 5-10% to most recipes to help with head retention.

I will have Jeff send out a summary of everyone's order to date later this afternoon, but right now, we only have 20 bags on order (basically half the pallet). Also, we still have half sacks of Maris Otter and Vienna available.
Star San is full, unless we get 4 more gallons asked for and PBW is at zero requests.
As for the requests for Victory malt, North Country does not have it....I was a bit surprised, but I didn't see it anywhere in their price list.
The order will have to be placed by the end of next week to arrive by the next meeting, May 18th.
