Seems to be some interest. Post your orders here. Remember, we need 42 sacks to fill the order.

This may sound like a n00b question, but since up till now I've been ordering my grain online, pre-milled, 30 lbs or so at a time, I don't know any better. QUESTION: I don't have a grain mill. Am I the only one without a grain mill? Does literally everyone else who participates in the bulk grain order mill their own malt? How should I process this grain when I get it?

Joey, just so you know, we don't do half sacks. If you can find someone that wants to split it with you, thats cool. However, we have no way of storage for any unordered grain. It looks like pretty normal stuff so finding someone to split it with you should not be a huge problem but I just wanted you to know.

Thanks for the clarification Jeff.
I would like to split a sack of Canadian 2-row and a sack of wheat if there's anyone interested in the other half.
Just how big are the sacks exactly? I think I saw it mentioned in the last bulk order thread that they are 50 kg (about 110 lbs). Is that correct?

Domestic grain bags (US, Canada) are usually 50 pounds. European malts (German, French/Belgian, British) are usually 25kg, or 55.125 pounds.

I'd most likely be interested in a gallon of Star San, but I can't find my sheet with the prices.
Oh - frig it...sing me up for one gallon please. I'll pay whatever it costs anyway. Cheaper than anywhere else I'm positive.

Most of us own our own mills that brew regularly and purchase grain in bulk. You are more than welcome to use my mill as needed but for convenience sake you'll probably want to invest in one. I have a Barley Crusher and love it.

Two sacks of CM 2-Row and 1 sack of Franco-Belges Pils.
Anyone want to split up a bag of Great Western Crystal 40? I could use a quarter myself.

Looks like we're about halfway there...
Would anyone with grain on hand be willing to loan me 16# of 2-row until our order goes through? I checked the local shop and they're 4X the bulk price. I went ahead and bought the specialties there, but it pains me to spend more for 16# than what a 55# sack costs.
Shoot me a PM if anyone's willing to help.
Thanks.

Sorry for being late....been real busy here lately. I'll try to catch up on this thread in the next day or so and try to get a summary going.
Off the top of my head, I think I'm going to get a 1/2 bag of flaked wheat....anyone up for the other half??

Would anyone be interested in splitting a sack of Pale Ale Malt with me? Also, if there is any interest, I could really use a 1/4 sack of Crystal 60L. Anyone want to lay claim to the other 3/4?

Two questions, have most of you all found malts that you stick with? For instance I know it was said earlier (I think by Tim) that the Canidanian 2 row pale is his prefered pale malt. Do you stick to one malt for most recepies or do regional influences come into play more? Second can some one post a link to a price sheet, or can I (also) get one enigmafa@gmail.com ty in advance. Joeycoonce you can take half of my pale sack...if your interested...
