I'll try to donate something, but I can't say what at the moment. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few brewdays in before the move.

I've given this some thought, and I think I've determined my brewing for the ABBF and Oktoberfest. I'll probably do another parti-gyle brew (the last one worked well). I'll turn out two beers, one for each event. One will be a 4 hot pepper beer, using Jalapeno, Cayenne, Serrano and Tabasco peppers. The other beer will be a Tamarind & Blue Agave Mexican Ale. I have a tube of White Labs WLP051 California V yeast, so I'll probably use that.
So count me in for:
5 gallons of Hot Pepper Beer for the ABBF. 5 gallons of Tamarind & Blue Agave Beer for the Oktoberfest.

I tried to add up all the 5 and 10 gallon posts but kept missing by @ 50 gallons every time. Yes I've been drinking. I'll do 5 gal. of something. If your still desperate maybe 10 but it will probably be undrinkable.

I think I'm going to change my beer from Sticke Alt to California Common. The Common may do better with current basement temps.

Dumb question of the day: I am not a kegger, but will be borrowing a keg to donate to the cause. When I rack my beer to this keg, how will it become carbonated? Cause I don't have the facility to force carbonate it, and I doubt that I have the time to "bottle" prime the keg and have it clear by Oktoberfest. Can I drop off a un-carbonated keg and expect that someone will carbonate it prior to serving?

Prime in the keg and let it go. That's what I did with a brown for Octoberfest. Dan

I've never primed in the keg, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that you should use a little less priming sugar than you would for bottling. You might want to research that.
