Hi All,

First off, sorry if I am posting in the wrong place for this, but I couldn't find any info.

I am transferring to the St Peters area from the Lake of the Ozarks and looking for info. on how to join a homebrew club, from what I have read the GBS is the place to be.

A little about me, I have been actively brewing for 2 1/2 years with the last 1 1/2 years all-grain. I brew on a home built all-electric system driven by a 4500w water heater element and controlled by a PID. I had to choose my aparment carefully so that I would have a dryer plug to hook into and be able to brew during the week. We are keeping our place at the lake and the wife and kids will stay there will I make the journey up here Mondays-Friday. I try to keep 7 kegs on tap in a converted chest freezer and plan on having a smaller freezer in the apartment. Currently on tap: Kolsch, American IPA, Northern English Mild, Oatmeal Chocolate Stout, Rye IPA, Sex in a Canoe (cream ale) and Orange Casacade APA.

How to become a GBS member?

Step 1: Show up at a meeting.

Step 2: See Step 1.

That's about all it takes. We meet at O'Fallon Brewery (google 'em for location) the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:00. Cost is $4 per meeting to cover cost of food etc that is provided (your 1st meeting is free). Bring a few bottles to share with your new best friends.

3rd Tuesday, crap does that mean it was tonight and I have to wait a month to hang out with you guys????

Yeah, but you can always look for folks having open brew sessions....usually at least a handful of folks show up and that's a good way to introduce yourself. I think Dave's having a couple this weekend.
